Drew Smith, MLS

Drew Smith is an Associate Librarian with the USF Tampa Library. He has served on the boards of the Federation of Genealogical Societies and the Association of Professional Genealogists.  Drew is host of the Genealogy Connection podcast and co-host of The Genealogy Guys Podcast. His books include Social Networking for Genealogists, Advanced Genealogy Research Techniques, and Organize Your Genealogy: Strategies and Solutions for Every Researcher.

Daniel Earl



Daniel Earl got his start in family history at age 10 when his father took him to the grave of his great-grandfather; that sparked a lifetime of interest in family history. He has spent the last 25 years researching his own family history and helping others make history a part of their story.

Leah Larkin, PhD

The DNA Geek

Leah Larkin earned a PhD from The University of Texas in Austin for research using DNA to study species relationships. Adapting that scientific skill set to genetic genealogy has become a passion. She focuses on general education in the field, new methods for unknown parentage searches and—as a Louisiana Cajun—best practices for working with endogamous groups. Larkin has been the editor of the Journal of Genetic Genealogy since 2016 and blogs at theDNAgeek.com.

Angela Walton-Raji, BA, MEd

Angela Walton-Raji is nationally known as a genealogist, lecturer and blogger. She has given numerous webinars and most recently taught a 4-week seminar in Native American genealogy for Family Tree University. She hosts a weekly podcast and continues to write and teach beginning researchers, embarking on their genealogy journey for the first time. Ms. Walton-Raji lives in Maryland, where she continues to research and write.
